Welcome to Immaculate Conception

Catholic Church in Auburn, IN

Hi there ...

It is indeed a pleasure to welcome you to our website. Explore what we have to offer in terms of living and teaching the faith. And should you notice something that needs expression, please let us know. Our readers keep us on our toes!

If you are passing through Auburn (or are in the city to purchase a classic Duesenberg!) check us out in person. If you like us, tell ten other folks!

Many blessings to you and your loved ones. There is no better time to express the spirit of family than these challenging days in our society.

From our (parish) family to you ...

FAMILY NIGHT ON SOCIAL MEDIA

JOIN US TO LEARN MORE ABOUT HOW TO KEEP OUR CHILDREN SAFE ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND THE INTERNET.

SUNDAY, JANUARY 11 AT 6:30 P.M.

IN THE PARISH HALL

Immaculate Conception Church and its middle school EDGE program are sponsoring a Family Night on Social Media. Youth in the 6th through 12th grades and their parents are welcome and encouraged to attend. The evening will begin in the Parish Hall with snacks and drinks. Presenters will offer age-appropriate breakout sessions for adults and youth covering how to use social media responsibly, privacy settings, and the many social media websites and apps that are available. Parents will also learn what is developmentally appropriate for pre-teens and teens, student views, and current research about social media. Presenters include Officer Ingrid Harriott and Kelly Wolfe-Stiltner. Officer Harriott has been with the Allen County Police Department for 16 years; her current assignment with the Sheriff’s Department is as a School Resource Officer with Southwest Allen County Schools. Wolfe-Stiltner holds a Master’s degree in School Counseling, is a licensed School Counselor, and has 13 years of experience in her field.

FACT: 73% of 12 to 17 year olds have a Facebook account.  Is your child one of them?

ADULT RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

Each session will begin following the 8 a.m. Mass on Sunday mornings (see calendar for upcoming dates). The parish will offer Symbolon: The Catholic Faith Explained, a state-of-the-art video series featuring nationally-known, dynamic Catholic teachers. It explains the BIG picture of Catholicism so that we can live it and articulate the beauty of the faith to others. Gary Helmkamp, Co-director of Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), will facilitate the meetings and lead group discussions in the Parish Hall. Coffee and donuts will be served along with child-care for children ages one through 5.
